7 Colors of the Rainbow:

red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet. Or ROYGBIV. Red has the longest wavelength, with each color decreasing away from it.

6 Main Colors:

The primary colors are red, yellow and blue.

The three secondary colors, green, orange and purple, are created by mixing two primary colors.

Purple is a color intermediate between blue and red. It is similar to violet, but unlike violet, which is a spectral color with its own wavelength on the visible spectrum of light, purple is a secondary color made by combining red and blue.
