How important is it to live in Eretz Yisrael?

In the tochacha, it says Hashem will send sicknesses, famine, etc.. then if you still don't listen, the goyim will come and eat your food and steal your children, and then if you still don't listen, you will have such severe famine that mothers will eat their children, and if you STILL don't listen you will be kicked out of Eretz Yisroel. What does that seem to imply? That the very last curse, the very worst of them all, is that we will be banished from our land.

Hashem sent a holocaust due to our sins, and millions of Jews were wiped out, only then, after an insane and unthinkable amount of suffering was He willing to finally begrudgingly give us back Eretz Yisrael after 2,000 years, hoping we would all come back to our dear Father with all our hearts. (The Gemara says the same thing about when the Yidden came back from Bavel after 70 years. That He would have brought them back with great miracles, but because they weren't worthy, they came back slowly, biderech hateva, and didn't build the beis hamikdash right away, etc... That's what I mean by begrudgingly. He is sending Moshiach as a poor man riding a "Chamor" - which means "Natural" instead of with great miracles...) But even then, He still didn’t give us the heartland and Yerushalayim. And even then in 1948, he sent 7 Arab armies to destroy us, and made a miracle to save us. And He sent them again during the 6 day war and made another miracle, giving us back even more, Yesha and Jerusalem... But we still didn't get the message. We just gave Har Habayit back to our greatest enemies!!! So He sent another war on Yom Kippur, where thousands of soldiers were killed and we were knocked down a little from our "kochi ve'otzem yadi"... But in the end we won and got to stay here safe, in our land.

Every step we take towards Moshiach takes pain and takes time, but we're getting closer every day. The Corona now brought tens of thousands of Jews who were spread out all over the world back to their home in Israel. And He is showing the world how Israel is protected (less than 300 deaths from Corona - and 85% over 70 yrs old or so). And he is sending riots to the US to send more hints.

Hashem doesn't just pick us all up and dump us back here. If that's how He worked, He would have done it after the Holocaust already. He wants us to come to Him, not force us to come home...

And He's got plenty of time.... The problem is, we don't.
